Cortex battery connection

I have a cortex that seems to have something wrong with the battery connection. The smallest amount of force in just about any direction on the robot causes the cortex to reset.

This includes

Raising an arm that has a lot more torque than necessary.
Having another robot ram our robot.
And the hilarious jerking motion of the robot when the Tabor lift was lifted.

This cortex is less than a year old and I was wondering if Vex can fix it.

If you get a RMA number and return your Cortex I can replace the damaged power connector.

I am new to this.

Can you explain how to get an RMA number and the whole process.

tabor473,

Its quite easy.
You request the RMA by email/phone and you will be sent by email a return form with packaging instructions and our return address, plus an unique RMA number.
Then you mail it back to our offices at Texas and we will repair the damaged unit, this may take 1-2 weeks depending on the repair.
