Cortex Different?

While going through our new vex cortex kit I noticed that the cortex unit was different from another one we had. The difference was the one in the kit a like bump or slant on the cortex near the front. While the other one doesn’t have this bump or slant on the cortex front.
What is the difference between these to cortex units?
Is one better then the other?
While going through the vex store I only see the one with the bump or slant in the front.
Is there any benefits?

It improves the range. Other than that, they’re identical. You should be fine with either.
