One of our teams are having a hard time trying to update the firmware on a cortex. They had previously used easy C and are now using robotC. The problem is that nothing downloads. We have tried:
switching com ports
pressing the config button
using different USB cables
downloading with the joystick programming cord
trying different download methods (vexnet and USB, vexnet, USB only)
using other cortex’s
We have made sure that we have downloaded the programming drivers and update utilities, but nothing is working.

PS: I have heard of bootloading and default code, but where do find that in robotC?**
