We recently updated our firmware at our local robotics club. We are using the VEX EDR Microcontrollers from about six years ago, and our joysticks are from about the same time. We are using the VEXnet 2.0 Keys. After updating our firmware, our cortexes stopped working. At this point, it will light up LEDs, but it will not run motors or register sensor input. We have tried everything, from redownloading master firmware, RobotC firmware, Default Code, and we still can’t get them to work. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Thanks.
Have you also updated the firmware on the joystick? You might also need to update firmware on the VEXnet keys too.
One you’ve done all the updates, pair the joystick and cortex with the A-A cable again, and check if they connect with all lights green.
If that all works then download your code again. If it doesn’t work, you’ll have to be a bit more specific with what you are doing when it doesn’t work, what the LEDs are, etc.
