Hey guys I opened up an old cortex that my club doesn’t use anymore and found that several ports were unused and were simply being covered by the casing. Could these ports be used to power extra motors/leds? Are they some special debugger ports?

No they cannot be used for more motors or sensors, yes they have special functions.

Are we allowed to use those ports for the competition??

They have no use in competition, perhaps I wasn’t clear, they are used during manufacture and servicing. There are no more motor, sensor or serial ports available.
Even if they did have use, you would be in violation of R15.
