I always thought that you needed cross bracing on the bottom, But after looking online, I see that its always on the top and their is space on the bottom. Is that ok? I currently have two cross braces on the bottom of my bot but is it necessary?
if I’m understanding correctly, than yes, what you’re suggesting would be fine. on the other hand, there isn’t any reason to remove bracing unless you need the space for something. I’d recommend leaving the extra bracing on, since there isn’t much use for that space on the bottom anyways.

It’s fine to have crossbraces on the top or bottom as long as it provide enough rigidity to your chasis. Always have at least 2 of them.
I personally like having just 2 crossbraces, with one on the top and one on the bottom.
Well, I was thinking of maybe having extra space for hotswapping or something
