You guys don’t flip rollers out right. What’s the longest base hole count that can still fit no deploy rollers? Do you need 25 or less?

I have a 28 long that doesnt need deploy. But yeah I think 25 holes is around the largest you can go

Believe it or not I have a 35 hole long base with rollers that don’t flip out. They just sit over the c-channels in the front

Can it place 2 stacks in the big corner?

30 long, no deploy. rollers stick out about 5 holes from the front.

yes, my robot can place 2 stacks of 9-10 in the large goal zone.

Thanks for the information, we plan to go with a 30 hole long base because that’s what we have right now.

Do you have issues intaking cubes which are angled? I’d think that if the cube hits the tray at the same time as the rollers, it has to be aligned before hitting.

I used to have that issue, but since I braced the rollers, I can intake cubes at any angle. They come in angled, and then are straightened by the front sprockets, and pushed up the rest of the way by the back.

Are you running hinges?

I assume you mean on the intakes, but no we are not running hinges on the intakes, or anywhere else.

Our team currently runs mecanum wheels over x drive because the mecanum wheels are less prone to being able to be pushed from the side. We have a 1 motor RD4B which is a bit slow, but very powerful due to the 1:35 compound gear ratio.

Yes mecanums are prone to slippage, but that is irrelevant if you have an odometry system built in

The slippage is irrelevant from a tracking perspective, but meaningful in the sense that your losing power efficiency translated from the motor to the ground every time you slip.
