Custom Vex Trophies

What are your favorite custom event trophies you have seen?

There are two in this thread, but hoping you can share a variety of the custom trophies you have come across in your vex journey.

Haverford School (169) had an event a number of years ago where they laser cut the awards to be the outline of PA. That was very cool.

For most of my events I go with the standard “tube” awards. The gold ones in the back are 24” tall.

The small award with the gear is our “Mentor of the Year” award.

Created (I assume in-house) by our ERC hosts (FRC team 4065) last season.

Not custom, but customized…the RiverBots Signature event trophies:

There were some awards I saw last year online which resembled the tipping point platform. i don’t have any photos tho but they were cool

We went to a competition in Salisbury last year, and they made these as awards. Personally, I really like getting custom awards, it makes our trophy stand look a lot better. We had a ton of the standard vex trophies in hs, and after a while, it got boring. I definitely like the bit of variety. We have only competed on year so far, but this award will definitely stand out when we get more vex trophies.

Also not custom, but customized. A cool twist for a valentines day event.

And yes, the gears do actually spin

Why?
The mentor of the year one should be the largest award of all.

It should, but if you ask your Mentors, they will all tell you they don’t have room. But they do have room for one about the size of a coffee cup they can put on their desk.

My Worlds Mentor of the Year is 21", it’s stuffed on a shelf in a corner behind lots of other small items. So people are not going to be able to see what it’s for.

Smaller awards where people can see them for the Win!! (Oh and they also get a $100 gift card).

Not a custom trophy, but a custom plate

Indiana’s trophies for winning State are outright epic, and incorporate game elements from that year’s game. I don’t have any pictures of them offhand (and all the previous years’ pictures seem to have disappeared), but compared to World’s trophies, I think Indiana has the better looking ones.

Got to take this chance to promote the trophies we’ve made for the Mecha Mayhem Signature Event.

There’s still a few spots left and every award will get one of the trophies!

Pulled out the 2016 EPA states trophy from Haverford (169) that you mentioned.
Also pulled out an old Vexmen (80, 81, 90, 91, 92) trophy.

The Minnesota State trophies are custom made every year. They weigh around 10 pounds each as the base is solid granite.
