How do I get more information about the data stream coming from the Dashboard Port?
IFI has published the 2004 Dashboard Specification on the Documentation page. You can use this information to write your own custom dashboard viewer software. Or you can use the IFI provided one, also available at that location.
Is there a specification for the .ini file that is associated with the Dashboard program? In particular, the Dashboard shows a number of User Bytes available for display, as well as LEDs. While the specification document on the Dashboard details the protocol between OI and RC allowing peoplee to write their own Dashboard, is there a specification or description of how the existing one might be used? Is the Labview code available and might that help with this?
There is only 1 specification document about the Dashboard Viewer which you described. Not sure what you are asking - The existing Dashboard Viewer uses the specification to display the data. We do not support any Labview Code.
