Descoring through back of robot importance

How important do you think it is for a team to be able to de-score through the back of the robot using something like rollers or a trapdoor? My current robot can de-score though the back using rollers, but I am unsure if I want to include that on our next robot.

  • I think it is very important; might base alliance selection off of this feature.
  • It is not important as long as you can de-score, would choose alliance partner solely off of performance.

It all depends which version of the game you are playing…

with the new remote competition rules, there isn’t much value to a sorter unfortunately. it’s still useful for skills and normal matches though where you have to descore.

such as? I’m playing VRC and we are doing competitions and skills.

yeah but in person comp or virtual comp? Pooper is good for one and worthless for the other

At higher levels yes it matters. Specifically in my opinion, if the robot has a single rubber band horder. But early season I’m going to pick based on performance.
