While differing perspectives can make discussions more complex, there is no reason to dismiss proposals for updating award criteria, particularly since REC Foundation has historically refined criteria across multiple awards.
The current Design Award criteria is well understood. This post is intended only to suggest the potential addition of a modest performance component which remains entirely at the discretion of REC Foundation for any future updates.
At this point, it seems that all constructive feedback has been shared. I will follow up directly with REC Foundation and ensure that perspectives from both sides are considered for the proposal.
