Digital and physical notebook question

I’ve seen teams that use the strategy of logging information digitally and then printing it out and putting it in a physical notebook, and I’m considering doing that too. I currently use a physical engineering notebook and I’m not sure whether I should keep my past physical pages as they are or digitise them and integrate them into the new format. Which is better? I don’t want to look like I’m covering anything, but also it’s going to be easier to have it all formatted the same.

I would put it all on digital so much easier than on paper. an it looks better too. but you need to do it in color not black and white and you can go back and edit pages it you need to.

just do a digital notebook :woman_shrugging:

you mean like print it all out in colour?

first off spelling it is not colour it is color
second yes you need to print it in color.

Colour is the Canadian, British, and Australian spelling, fun fact. As for the actual question, it’s up to the individual note-booker. Judges will give the same credit no matter what format you have. I would recommend leaving the pages you have already done as it and then focus on doing the rest of your pages in your preferred format. Maybe also explain to the judges why you changed your format? Is this easier for you as a note-booker, do you think it presents the information more clearly, maybe you have messy handwriting?

A digital note book is a lot easier to organize, keep track of, and collaborate on without all being in the same location. I’d say to just do that. Use Google Slides, PowerPoint, or something like that.

Thank you, this is helpful!

IAn iportant thing to note. An event must specify which format they are accepting Engineering Notebooks in. They must either all be hard copy or all be digital. Events are not allowed to mix the two. Nor would a partially hard copy and partially digital notebook be acceptable for any event.

Oh come on, it takes extra ink/toner to print that extra useless letter … Profitable countries ditch useless vowels!
