So I am working to build a new team in my area and I’m having issues with ordering parts. I noticed that on the discontinued products page there were 84T high strength gears, however that is the gear used for the starter kits. Does this mean the starter kits as we know them are discontinued? When could we expect more to come in stock? Also it seems like quite the disadvantage for new teams having so many gear options discontinued. With 60T and 84T being discontinued, should we expect a redesigned replacement or the phasing out of other high strength gears sizes?

Many products have evolved into an improved version, for example
84T gear (276-3438) was replaced by 84T gear V2 (276-7749)

Small gripe on the ‘new’ gears. The inserts are not inset… making the gear width about 1/10" wider. Other than mfg ease, I can’t see a benefit.

They’re much stronger overall, and the new hole layouts are helpful. And this is not easier to manufacture. That’s an overmould, which involves a hefty investment in tooling.
