Well, that will disinfect it.

If you’re using IQ kits and taking the robots apart for cleaning anyway (and thus can easily avoid soaping electronics), soapy water might actually not be too bad an idea, it’s basically what LEGO Education recommends for their kits.

We do have CAD as well. But thank you because I will look more into that if we are able to be face to face! There was an online program that someone shared that looks like CAD and allows you to build robots on it. I’ll have to go back and find it. But then I have to learn it haha

Oh I love the gloves idea. Thank you!

There are libraries for inventor, solidworks, and fusion depending on what software you use. These have basically every vex part you could want, so you just open a new assembly to CAD the full robot or subassembly. Cadding robots is a great way for students to practice assemblies after they get the basics down because they are something the students will build or see built in the future rather than an example in a textbook that doesn’t hold any meaning to a student. Cadding for vex doesn’t really do much with making parts, though, so make sure to cover the basics well before moving on to robotics.

Oh, just wanted to add here that I was thinking more about the gloves. I don’t think they will really help that much. If the germs are on the gloves and they touch their faces, they would stil have the same dangers. I don’t think I’ll ask for $ for gloves.

you still have to wipe it off. The spray just kills the stuff on the metal, then you get dead microrganisms all over your robot

Isn’t that the point? I could just be stupid, but isn’t dead microorganisms the point?

It’s supposed to kill bacteria and all that so you don’t get it on your hands and stuff.

Spray is fine

Or wipes is fine

Both is overkill

Well, you still have to wipe it anyways.

The research is suggesting that sunlight is pretty effective at killing COVID. If you have access to UV light source that would be even better. Not a doctor, but I watch a lot of news.
