I have about distance sensors that when plugged into the VEX OS Utility show up, update, etc. but when we use them in the robot through the device manager system, the sensor states that there’s no object detected, no matter how far/close you put an object to it. Anyone else have/had this problem along with a solution to it? Thanks!
I am having this problem too recently, and I have not figured out anything yet.
I have seen this once on a robot that I was updating for another team (normal update failed so I stepped in and helped them with a more involved approach) and I suspect that the distance sensor was physically damaged - the mesh screens pushed deep into the holes, touching the transducer. I had no time to analyze this further and they didn’t really needed the distance sensor, but I’ll try to verify this hypothesis next time I see them…
