What happens if the distance sensor gets closer than 20mm? What exactly does it return?
I don’t have a distance sensor but I was wondering if someone who did would be able to test for me.
Well see that depends on if the distance_sensor actually returns a number less than 20 when its closer than 20mm. If it returned NaN or another data type that can’t be compared to an integer such as 20 then there would be an error. The vex shop says the distance sensor range is 20mm - 2000mm so I want to know if it will return usable data below 20mm, even if its horrendously inaccurate at that close range.
IIRC you will get some numbers below 20mm, then 0 for no readings. I’ll check tomorrow.
I do not mean to be toxic and complain about being flagged but can I know why I got flagged? It might have been due to the lack of incorrect information… but I feel as if my post was not spam but a mere attempt to help someone in need. Whether or not the community wishes not to inform me about my mistake I can assure you I will be more careful when making suggestion to a topic.
I see no reason for why they were flagged, especially the first one. I don’t claim to have the programming knowledge to very the info in the second. I think someone got flag happy.
