Distance vs Time

I just had to change my team’s code of off drivetrain because of an error. I now do not know how to make my auton work because it was all set for distance and now I need it to go for time. Should I try to find a way to make the distance work, or should I use time?

That is really a question for you to answer. If you got the code working once, just do what you did before.

I guess what I’m trying to ask is what is more reliable?

I would think that distance is more reliable but you have to consider wheel slip. I frequently see teams ramp up their drivetrain speed but they don’t take into account that the wheels can easily spin which causes the encoders to lose accuracy.
