Do motors stay in brake mode after a match ends

I thought that I saw a thread about this but I can’t find it now. For lifts do we need to have a physical lock on the lift or would seting the brake type to hold work when the judges are seeing how high you are.

There is a q&a currently pending on if motors will coast at the end of the match, but in past seasons that have incorporated elevation, this has just been a part of the design challenge. I assume this will be the case for over under.

The firmware sets the motors to “coast” when the robot receives a Disable signal from the field control electronics.
