Hey,
I was wondering if we were to print out our notebook and then bind it with something (say like a string), would it be considered a bound notebook and therefore eligible for the 3 point bonus on the design award rubric?

The idea behind the bound notebook is that it shows progression across the year. Each entry should be signed and dated. Judges do not want to see a notebook that has been made up the night before, they want to see how your ideas change across the season and how (and why) you change aspects of your robot.
It would not qualify for the 3 points because the pages can easily be edited (e.g. in December you go back and change October’s pages).
