I have a big issue and i have a competition tommorow… I really need help. Im using an 8:1 gear ratio and for some reason my DR4B wont lift at all… Now i know that sould be a good gear ratio for this… Im stuck ive tried everything so ill take all the ideas i can get
Have you tried rubber bands? They are your friend with these lifts.

Yes i have… Idk if this could be it but im using screw joints and i know that they are tight so maybe loosen them
So use the black rollers on a screw . Make sure the rollers still…roll and that you use a lot. I saw a dr4b lift just because of rubber bands. Do you have a picture of the robot

The rollers are small and look like a doughnut. They move on screws though

Its powered by a 12 tooth gear in the center

What would the spacers do?
So use those where you put your rollers at. Put a screw though so they will still spin. Put rubber bands in that triangle shape but this time, the rollers will allow them to move and force the lift up. Would suggest a lot. Check your gears for teeth messed up and the inserts you put in the gears to fit those small shafts, make sure they are still inside. Also check the drive shafts if they are connected to motors. Is your lift all aluminum
They would spin so it helps the rubber bands lift begter
