I dont have any of the red cartridges
But im gonna try to loosen things up first
The red cartridges are the high torque ones right? And the blue ones are the high speed?
How many bands does the lift use?
Im using 8 bands per side
So you use 16 bands total?
Yeah, if you’re considering the green cartridges as the normal speed and torque. And speaking from experience with our DR4B, using the red cartridges isn’t that much slower for the assurance that it can lift at least 7 cubes.
Yes 16 bands 8 per side
What are you lifting?
DR4B with an intake… My dr4b is all aluminum
Ok thanks… I guess now im spending like $30 on motor cartridges
How many motors ?
Sorry if you posted it before, but I kinda forgot. 2 motors, correct?
Also how heavy is the intake? Is it a tray as well or just the intakes?
2 motors… And an aluminum tray
So you are lifting an intake, tray, and tilter?
Yes… Its a bit weird… Were using a passive intake
Weeeellll, 16 bands for that seems like a bit little. I used 30 bands just to balance the weight of my dr4b with an intake. Since you have a tilter and tray, I would recommend at least 40 or 50!
Oh ok… Will do i will try
I would actually argue that 18 is a little low, but ours had 16 and could lift quite a bit. I would say that another big thing is finding a different triangle for the bands as this would optimize the force over the movement of the DR4B. Antichamber made a rubber band force calculator on scratch that we used to find the best triangle configuration, and I recommend that you use it too.
Could you send the link to that? Cuz im gonna have to go get more rubber bands no matter what
