DR4B locking assistance

Hi, Jamil from 10863A here. Just wondering if anyone could give me some assistance on how to lock a DR4B in place. Is a ratcheting mechanism or anything else more helpful for us.

Hi! A ratchet would be best, basically anything on a gear that allows it to spin one way but not the other would work. Something like this:

can you use pistons or motors I could help you if you put on a pic

While using pneumatics or motors will be the easiest method to do a locking mechanism, generally we try not to use a motor or the precious air on these sort of tasks, especially if it is just a one-time deployment (I am assuming it is to lock the dr4b after elevation).

And hence, the popularity of using a passive ratchet.

I would also like to see a picture of the arm if possible. How high is the arm? My team uses standoffs on our arm with a ratchet gear so that it locks when we hang.
