I am trying to find a really stable drive and can’t seem to find one can anyone help me?
How many motors do u want to use? Define “stable”
if you want to use 4 motors you might want to use the drive train in this video
We built a drivetrain with an 36:84 gear ratio with four 600 RPM motors. I have found that putting standoffs in between the two sides of the drive train keeps the space between them very consistent. The standoffs aren’t exactly the right size, so it helps to put a nylock on either side. This also helps prevent the standoffs from becoming loose.
Make sure that both halves are connected with multiple c-channels that go all the way across so it doesn’t bend in from too much weight.
