Dual Action Cylinder Cannot Resist Rubber Band

Basically we have a new 50mm Cylinder that needs to fold inward a bit in order to start in limits. When finding a solution, we noticed it couldn’t push the rubber band forward.

Our system goes from the tank to the solanoid to the cylinder.

We’ve also had a problem with air conservation though we didn’t want to decrease the pressure as we need to utilize the cylinder’s power.

Is this expected behavior?

If the rubber band is creating more force than the air cylinder can produce, the air cylinder will not be able to extend.

I will try tomorrow, as of now I do not have direct access to the robot.

Is it possible to verify the force of the cylinder in reality? As in verifying the we get ≈ 12 foot pounds of force.

Can you include a picture. I think the rubber band is just stronger than the air that its given. Is the rubber band 100% necessary.
