is there a easier way to attach a dual flywheel other than this? we are having problems of it not having enough angle to it spreading apart as a ball goes through. any ideas?

When we had a double flywheel, we used a hinge in the back and worm gears in the front. This allowed us to manually adjust the angle with the pivot point being the hinge.
We cut down steel flat plates down and bent them to the angle we chose, then we put c channels mounted to the base up to the flywheel to secure it.
Hope this helps
Use spacers between the metal and the standoff, or just another standoff. This should allow you to tighten the screws all the way down, and eliminate the issue of the flywheels spreading apart. To fix your angle, you may have to change the holes the standoffs are going through.
For more verstatility in mounting, standard shaft collars have proven to be pretty useful. I can’t find the link but I remember Jpearman started a thread about this. The attachment is used with a screw through the shaft collar and a standoff in place of the normal set screw. This allows for mounting at almost any angle.
we have come up with this: it has the height and the angles we need. thank you for all yalls intrest and support!
