No, it is an actual part of the competiton. I need to create a program in EasyC that includes both a driving section, and an autonomous line follower. I hope that answers your question.
You could use the vision sensor to be able to track and follow lines, however I have no experience with it so I do not know it’s limitations. Also I have heard it’s difficult to set up
