We have a puncher mechanism for our string expansion. It’s a contraption that is pulled back using elastics and shoots out a rod. That rod is making impact with two projectiles that will be launched with the string. I’m worried about the size of the projectiles as it is quite big and contains a big mass. Is there a limit to how big/heavy our pieces can be that are being launched?

any size projectile will do
Think of it as more a question will this hurt anyone - for example a small projectile out of control could make someone lose an eye, something that is pointy can pierce through human skin…
Safety is a matter of having control over your mechanism trajectory.
Don’t be reckless.
