Hello! I’m part of team 8031 A. We have qualified to states through the engineering notebook, but we would like to improve our building section of the notebook. Currently, we have been making it like lego manual guides but with vex. Unfortunately, our builder has had struggle with having time to do it all. Is there an easier way to show our build process in depth. Thank you to all who respond!
Journals can be approached many different ways but the way we prefer to approach it is by following the design process throughout. We focus on the game and then brainstorm ideas. Once it comes to building, we group the build pages based on the mechanism we are working on. We try to include a description that goes into detail about the build process with pictures at major milestones for the project. We also create improvement and solving the problem pages that allow for us to showcase the improvements that we implement throughout our robot. This may not be the most complicated way to show the build process but it works for us as we are able to showcase the creation of our robot without having to worry about dedicating too much of our journal to it.
Thank you! That might be easier for us to do.
