As stated in , robots may only expand in one direction. Is it legal to have expansion on both sides of the robot so long as they aren’t activated at the same time and don’t exceed a 24in footprint individually?
The game manual clearly states in Section B. Your robot can only expand in 1 direction outside of the regular 18x18x18 robot.
B. From the Robot’s perspective, only one “X/Y” direction may expand outside of the starting configuration during the Match (i.e., the Robot can’t get both wider and longer). This single expansion direction must be identified and measured during Robot inspection, as shown in the figures below.
