I was having a range issue when using the vexnet 2.0 keys. We can only get around a 40ft range. My teacher was wondering if there is a way to use something as a satellite.
Considering they run on a 2.4 GHz connection is there any way we could do that?
First, this is a VEX IQ channel, questions about VEXnet keys wouldn’t be applicable here. To answer your question, I know of no way to extend the range There is no device that one could use as a satellite as VEXnet is a proprietary protocol.
There is no way to extend the range, 40’ is pretty good distance. You can try using a USB extension cable to move the VEXNet Key to the top of the robot so that there is no metal near it. But your current distance is about the max.
