id just like to say congrats to anyone who competed in the 2006 FVC competition in farmville!!
if you were please place your team number and your rank…

team 1086 was the 10th ranked robot and the 7th ranked alliance.

~Alex

what teams won?

Team 3013 - Rookie team ‘Gears of War’ from Garfield Highschool
2nd ranked robot and winning alliance!
Also helped out with the 1st ranked robot from Garfields team ‘Fight Club’
who was also in the winning alliance.

so it was an alliance of 2?

there was another team from Battlefield, but I don’t know their number…

the gar-field robots were really nice, along with battlefields.

so did u compete MH??

Yes I did, it was exciting for me since it was my first time going to a robotics competition!
I was the only female that was actually on the field.

Haha, I have a whole set of ‘Black Pearl’ buttons.

ya it was my first robotics comp too, i cant wait for next year!!

what team are you on??

Our rookie team (two eigth grade girls) had a great time and ended up in 12th place and as part of alliance #6. We met some great folks, and I would expect that we will be back next year.

The Gar-Field teams had a great design and very functional robots. Congrats to them and all the others as well.

Vexy Things (Team #3549)

Me too  Robotics might turn into of my favorite hobbies and I hope to get more active in it.
‘Offically’ I’m on team 3013 ‘Gears of War’ ranked #2; but I help out with all of the Gar-Field teams.
If you were on the field I was the girl with black hair in pigtails~

I thought the Vexy Things did well. When I was there I wanted to go talk to the team but i didnt want to interupt them…
it was inspirational to see a whole female team (neverless a team of only two) - Gar-field hopes to have one in the future.

There is also going to be a scrimmage at Gar-Field in january to anyone who wants to come,
i can get infomation to anyone who didn’t get a flyer at Farmville!
We would love for you all to come

Im alex from gar-field, programmer for 3148, we ranked 1st. It was our first year, very exciting.

I was impressed with the vexy things, fun name too.

Haha, you loser <3

hah i just saw you, who are you?

It’s Nikky; the awesome person.

Ohh haha hey.

I am from The Spotsy Bots, only they spelled our name wrong and it came out all wrong. I was wondering what everyone thought about our robot. We had one of the simplest, fastest, most effective robots out there. We would have gone to the finals if it were not for the other team using both of their bots to pin it in the corner. I believe that if there was only one pinning the atlas ball we could have grabbed it and pushed it onto our side.

I really don’t mean to be rude, but that was the whole purpose behind us pinning it. Although great job at the competition! Your bot was light and able to move fast, which was a good advantage.

We never really went against you from the qualifying on up if I’m correct. And I’m just curious, which one are you from the team?

No man that was Battlefield, they were at the scrimmage. If you were at the scrimmage in Haymarket then you would know that we were the ones right next to you. Ours is real low, fast and has a plow on the front with four angle gussets.

r u the team from spotsillvania??
anyways their bot was crazy efficiant.
we faced them in the quarterfinals and in the 2nd match they got 20 balls into the low goal!!!
and suprisingly they could really control the atlas ball.
