Sponsor Spotlight: Texas Instruments
Texas Instruments knows the importance of fostering STEM initiatives that create the technology workforce of tomorrow. As a proud sponsor of the Texas Instruments Electronics Online Challenge, VEX Worlds, and two scholarships for high school seniors, TI supports robotics through TI technology and employee engagement. In the Texas Instruments Online Challenge, students deconstruct a device to see the electronic components were inside. Students then select a component, do research on it, and report on what it does and its role in the device. Entries consisted of everything from alarm clocks and flat irons to coffee pots, computers, and even a 3-D printer. Interested in their results? Check out the submissions here.

The REC Foundation’s Mission Statement
The REC Foundation seeks to increase student interest and involvement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by engaging students in hands-on, sustainable, and affordable curriculum-based robotics engineering programs across the U.S. and internationally.
