Field controller not updating firmware

I have one of the new field controllers released two year ago. The firmware on the brain is currently 1.1.2 and as far as I know the latest firmware is 1.1.5. For some reason, I can’t get anything to update the field controller. I’ve tried using the VexCode app, the website on chrome with the pairing, VexCode pro, and the standalone V5 Firmware Utility. Every method I’ve tried gives me an update error message, but none of them will tell me why it won’t update, not even a error code. Idk if it matters, but I’m using a MacBook Air with a 2020 M1 chip running MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1. I’ll include screenshots of all the app failures.

The chrome method is different, however, in that I couldn’t get the website to connect to the brain at all. I did the connect steps like I was supposed to, clicking the lowest id number (and i later confirmed it was the right id number), and the website says paired under the connect screen, but won’t show it on the main screen. Screenshot for example:

Anyway, i am just wondering if anyone has had similar issues or know how to fix this, thanks!

The smart field controller can not be updated using VEXcode or the V5 firmware utility. The only current way of updating it is using the VEX VSCode extension. The smart field controller uses a different version of vexos, the latest we released was 1.1.3, so if it’s running ok with 1.1.2 I would just leave it alone. Most updates to vexos would not apply to the smart field controller as it is not programmed by customers and only runs the field control program.

We’re preparing for a tournament. Is there any way to check the field controller’s firmware version? Or can I assume that they are up to date.

The same way as every V5 brain.
Devices screen, select brain icon.
