Field Shots

Hey Forum,

I was wondering how people who are using slip gear launchers manage to achieve field shots. Do you just angle the whole unit? Or do you change the amount that the rubber bands get stretched?

There’s lots of variables you can change, angle of the whole launcher, angle of the point that impacts the ball, tension of the rubber bands, how far it is pulled back, position the ball sits vertically (is it struck below or above the COG?), position the balls sit front to back and where the puncher/slider is stopped (how long the ball is in contact with it)…

Finding out what to change to make the launcher more accurate or shoot from different positions is the best part to building one! :slight_smile:
