I don’t know if anything can be done about this, as its probably too late, but having the first day of worlds on a Sunday is conflicting for most of the teams in our area that our going. We have about 6 teams total going to worlds and we have our various religious meetings on that particular day in the afternoon. This happens to be when the check in, inspection, and our main time to do skills will be. We can make it to a few parts of the day that are critical, but this messes with our main time to do skills and cuts us rather close on inspection timing. Is there anything that could be done about this?
The simple answer is no, nothing can be done.
We’re a week away from the event. The high level schedule has been locked in for months. Even if it wasn’t, with an event this big and this long it’s going to conflict with all kinds of things. It’s simply impossible to accommodate everyone’s personal schedules.
You and your team will need to just make a decision about what things in your life need to take priority, and there is no wrong answer. It’s up to you.
