First NBN Final in Michigan As per forum Request

This video was highly requested and I am finally posting it since the robots here have been “declassified”

Please PM me or use the contact information found on our website to contact me. Of course email is preferred.

Ahhhh, just missed that lowlift at the end of the match. You should make an autonomous program that stops the feed after shooting for a second because all your autonomous shots ended up in the lowgoal or on the field. Also whats your reasoning behind the rubber bands on the flywheel? Did it increase range, add more momentum?

This is not my robot, however, is almost piece for piece the same as my first prototype. I am currently working on a far better robot that has 100% accuracy (look for a reveal in late October to early November) it also might be able to lift ;). To answer your other question, the rubber bands increase traction with the ball preventing it from going up in trajectory by sliding out due to the large compression on the balls when they hit the launcher.

Oh, lol I just assumed because the camera was focused on it… Anyway 100% accuracy sounds pretty good :p. Will keep an eye on the the robot reveals section. Interesting reason for using the rubber bands, hmmmmm.

It was ours and has since been taken apart.

Basically it was a flimsy double flywheel prototype that was reinforced, improved, and got a base slapped onto it.

The rubber bands were supposed to increase grip when the compression was reduced. Rubber bands really wouldn’t have a noticeable effect on momentum unless the flywheel was truly going really fast.

Also, consistency was a huge problem because of ball density, battery voltage, a low-hanging wire, etc.

Seriously, don’t elevate fields 2 feet under a 10 foot tent.

P.S Where’s the nothing but tent video?

haha, sounds like you were a little tight for space  What would you estimate your accuracy was then and now? Did the rubber bands improve performance noticeably? :stuck_out_tongue:

Also @Anemeh, 14:3, you should release the rest of dem videos

I will soon haha, don’t worry. Working on it.

And hello Jason nice to see you here! I’m sorry if I wasn’t clear enough, this video features one of my sister teams not my team.
