The first tournament of the season is now on RobotEvents: The Monroe County Fair (Michigan) Kickoff events for VRC and IQ. Held under the “big tent” on the last day of the fair, admission to the fair (open till 11:00 p.m.) is included with registration!

This is a great chance to experience the game, learn the rules, develop strategy, and get a jump-start on the design process by testing design ideas in competition.

May I ask if there is a plan to have a webcast for this event? I think it would be cool to see how teams at a local level do this early in the season

Whoohoo!

Would be great to see some matches, but I expect participating teams will post some, even if there is no stream.

BTW, you have “High Stakes” in the general info.

For now, not in the plan because there is not internet nearby. There is slight potential of recording and uploading the event the next day, but I have to talk to our tech guys about that.

Having gone to Under the Tent in the past, this is a fantastic tournament hosted by great organizations. Highly recommend!

Hate to crash the party , but there was a tournament on June 4th, all the videos of the match were posted online alongside on a forum - Blank.'s Beginning - 2025

Well… it was so early that even Robotevents are not ready for the new season yet - which means, it can only be an unofficial robotevents event (ie. scrimmage).
And TM for the new season was also not ready yet.

Hope this explains why Blank’s Beginning will never be recognised as an official event.

So Blank’s Beginning is the first event of the season, just not the first official event.

And in the grand scheme of things, as an (unofficial) EP, it doesn’t really matter is it the first or second event as well. Objectives of event met, that’s the most important and we sent the students away for the June/summer breaks excited about the new season :slightly_smiling_face:
