Our robot flywheel is barely reaching the top goal. Speed is reducing when it trying to goal high.please help me. we have competition on coming weekend.
What are you talking about? Please clarify?
Are you using pneumatics to raise the flywheels?
use pneumatics to hit the top goal; though I don’t recommend it, as its very inconsistent.
For some flywheals, it contracts or closes in on itself when lifted, this makes it so the ball can no longer shoot top goals. I know this problem happened to some of the flywheel teams at my school.
We were not able to do the top goal. If we run the flywheel for 6 or 7 seconds, our bot is able to do the goal but sometimes it is not. We are pneumatics to raise the flywheel.
I made a flywheel robot. It fell off a table. Before it fell off the table, the pneumatics raising the flywheels made the flywheels spin slower. I think it had something to do with the power the pneumatics were using.
Please send pictures/videos so we can effectively help!
You may want to try using flywheal weights, as they give the flywheel more momentum, allowing it to shoot the ball better.
Try playing around with the gear ratios on a prototype base, seeing which one has the best and most consistent shots.
