Fold out tray lock

I have a fold out tray on my robot and it folds out with rubber bands, but when I angle it vertically to release a stack of cubes, it tips forward and knocks the stacks over. and I am trying to make a locking mechanism on it. How is the best way to do this. I don’t have a ton of space.

What about your design requires a lock? For the most part they are not needed.

It sounds like that can be fixed with more rubber bands or/and slowing down toward the top.

The top stage if your tray sounds too heavy

What type of rubber bands are u using

can you post a picture of the robot?

Ours is held with the bands, and our top tray is really heavy

I am trying to make that tipe of arm to but i can not find out how to do it so if you have any ides just tell me

The junction between stage 1 and 2 on the left side has a linear slide as a lock. That might work.

what is the robtos name if you want to go on google and look it up

If it’s for the OPs bot, then idk, I’m guessing you cant find it since they’re probably not done yet.

If it’s for my bot, then no, I haven’t made a reveal or anything.

Tldr; most likely, neither robot can be found online

yes i agree. you can probably fix the problem by adding a few more rubberbands to keep it from tipping forward

just make sure that the rubber bands are pulling the way that you want them to
