I bought it for my daughter who was in robotics… in middle school… we were going to enter a competition … but due to covid … it never happened
I understand that, but it is retailed at $1899. You’re trying to sell it for $2000. That is $100 above retail price, so people will just buy from vex. You’re not going to be able to make a profit, sell it for less than retail and then people will buy from you.
So the battery is probably non-functional at this point.
Opp, is it true that if battery’s have not been opened in a year are so that means they are dead??
I agree with @Grayson_21050A you are selling it more than retail (with most likely outdated parts). If you want to sell it I would suggest selling it for less. I mean is anybody really going to buy a 2019 kit for more than retail if they could just buy it from vex?
There’s a high probability that yes, the batteries are dead. There’s even a high possibility that they will have dead cells after being abandoned for more than a year (happened to some of my batteries that have not been touched after a year). Additionally, the VEX superkit listed on the VEX Robotics website is $1,899.00, so you’re marking the price up by $101.
It may be a good idea to note that you should not put your phone number on a public forum. Instead, it’s preferred to say “private message me” as every user here can just private message you on the forums

$2,000 isn’t bad considering tax and shipping (which is more than $100). Add that to the fact this product is on backorder. One could always just PM an offer.

Maybe I have been on the interwebs too long, but when I see someone who hasn’t posted in two years supporting a first time poster, the “Don’t be suspicious” meme starts playing on my phone
Feel free to call Vex and talk to them I was trying to get them to take it back they couldn’t do it because it was out of the warranty so they recommended that I come here they told me that they’re out of stock and people would appreciate the post I understand what you’re saying feel free to give me a DM that’s why I ask people to DM me my name is j I live in Boynton Beach Florida but I do understand there are a lot of scams out there feel free to DM me the product was never taken out of the box I bought it for my daughter she was in robotics in her Middle School we were going to go to a competition which never happened because of covid then she lost interest in robotics that was the end of that brand new in the box I’ll send you pictures with a newspaper time in it or something like that again I would only do this because I understand the skepticism

Dude, syaing the same thing multiple times does nothing. In fact it’s extremely annoying. We understand it’s never been taken out of the box. It really doesn’t matter at all. We’re not mint collectors, these things are made to be used, so if it was a horrible box but working parts it would be much better than never opened and dead battery, and probably some other bad stuff (it has been 3 years). If you’re going to make a price, make something more reasonable. I don’t know the prices off the top of my head for a super kit, but man 2000 is too much for this. I’ll wing it and say 1600? I may be too high or too low, I don’t know, but at least someone might buy it from you.
