Just doing the Head referee training and came across the question on Auton using only pressing the button on the brain to activate autonomous. Are using several mounted touchled not allowed anymore?
Why would it not be allowed? We rely on those heavily
Exactly. I just wanted some verification as our teams uses TouchLEDs to start varying auto sequences. What through me off was the question that was asked in the Referee Testing which stated auton can only be started using the button on the Brain. Maybe it was just badly worded as with other questions on the test which was ambiguous.
Pretty sure RSC6 is clear: ". Drivers must start a Robot’s Autonomous
Coding Skills Match routine by pressing a button on the Robot Brain or manually activating a sensor. "
The point is that auton can not be started using a button on the controller–there should not even be a controller present during an auton run lest it might look like some sort of driver control or influence might take place.
I’m going to go with a badly worded question, it tripped me up too.
