Future Games

Hello VEX Forum users,

Of course, whenever we’re in a certain season, we sometimes wonder “What will next year’s game be?” There is no doubting that everyone has their personal favourite seasons of all time, so that got me thinking. What would your ‘dream game’ be? To start things off, I would love a fast-paced game, like the Bank Shot and Nothing But Net, in which the robots are built extremely fast, and it’s lots of fun to watch, and participate, too. What about you guys?

Vex hydro the water game

WITH BRAND NEW CERTIFIED VEX HYDRO PARTS! CUSTOMIZE YOUR ROBOT WITH THE SAME EXACT PARTS THAT HAVE A FANCY STAMP OF APPROVAL MAKING EVERYTHING ELSE ILLEGAL!!

Anything with small game pieces (less than 1" in diameter, your robot should be able to hold a ton of them) that you have to suck up and climb a ladder that is 5’ tall to dispense them into goals. Just no more stacking games.

I believe that there will either be a central scoring zone, or 4 scoring zones in each corner. I believe that all goals will be neutral, and the game pieces will be

seperated by color

I’d definitely like something involving lots of small objects.

Another shooting game would be nice.

I really don’t want any more stacking games any time soon either

I started in NbN, and my first proper season where I got really involved with a lot of things in the team was Starstruck.

I would like coloured objects in neutral goals. Honestly, if I could play any VEX game it would probably be either Toss Up or Gateway, so hoping for something like that.

+1, we need another game like NBN
(not exactly the same, but something similar

Definitely not full-field shooting. I hate to say it, but perhaps like FTC Velocity Vortex.

So maybe something where the balls stay on the ground, like some weird robot version of soccer or something.

or go full on battlebots that would be fun as well

please no, that was such a boring game.

I’ve been asking for the “10,000 ping pong ball” game for about 10 years. I keep dreaming.

Go back and look at “Elevation.” It was a very cool game.

Games that require precision are fun
Starstruck was tough because it was very luck based (everything depended on how the stars bounced)
I also think its interesting when you can’t expand outside the 18x18x18 limit (like NBN)

A soccer like game would be cool. Also no to the no expansion That was a major reason why I hated Nothing But Net

I didn’t really like the no expansion rule either. However, I could see some robots hogging all of the balls if expansion was allowed, making the game a lot less exciting.
