G4 Violation?

Is this a G4 violation:

Swapping a drive team member from one sister squad to another during a regional tournament or Sig event because squad XYZ had only one member show-up.

Note: Members of squad XYZ made it known in advance that they could not attend the event.

I would consult with EP and RECF TEM or EEM about specific situations.

Concerns may be reported using advice from your other post:

I> would recommend that concerns regarding Code of Conduct be addressed through the Code of Conduct Reporting tools:

https://kb.roboticseducation.org/hc/en-us/articles/14490397054359-Code-of-Conduct-Reporting-Tools

asking here on the forum is not the right venue for addressing such concerns.

This is missing a lot of context. Let me assume that it’s Bobby Tables that is the XYZ team member.

  • Can Bobby drive?
  • Can Bobby fix the robot?
  • Is the team member from the other sister team there as a helper/coach driver?

Answers to the questions may make a difference. A better time to have sorted this out would have been at the start of the event when the EP could get the details and confab with the RECF staff. All of the EP’s have there EEM on speed dial.

As in 99.9% of their posts, @lacsap is correct, there is a documented process to follow. Use it. Our opinions are not useful or helpful.

Completely off-topic of the post, but there should be a forum badge for obscure xkcd references and you should have one awarded for Bobby Tables.

(See here if you don’t know his reference)
