There’s this Q&A which asks my question: robotevents.com/VRC/2023-2024/QA/1807 but is not really answered by the GDC. They just point to other very generic G7 Q&A-s as I believe this is part of Grant’s “gray area”.
Basically flat robot with perfectly legal non-concave wings, but has 2 plastic sleds (for climbing over bar) sticking out an inch or two.

Using a spectrum analyzer waterfall to study the effects of cooking with a microwave oven on the VexNet 3.0 robot channel hopping protocol. Ironically also a jpearman thing. I asked why did robots lose radio connection at my event. He calmly said someone was using a microwave. First I thought it’s just James sarcasm. Then I thought it’s a big joke. But it’s not and he’s right again (hence Level 5 Clearance). Been in this rabbit hole for some time now.
