I have 12 new Samsung Galaxy Tablets to program the IQ bots. All of the tablets are experiencing long download times, 45-60 seconds, for a simple program. Frequently they would stop downloading and we had to power cycle the IQ Brain and force the VexCode App to close in order for it to reconnect. The students became so frustrated that I had to pull out laptops to complete the class. We are running the latest release of Android VexCode IQ and the brains, radios, controllers, etc., are at the latest firmware release 2.1.5.
Can anyone provide some insights as to what may be causing the issues?
Does the download ever complete? We experienced similar issues with iPads before, and it was because the compiler needed to use certain TCP/IP ports that were blocked by the school firewall (sorry I don’t remember which ports). For us, the downloads never completed. If your laptops are connected to a different network then they might not be blocked.
I am by no means an expert on this kind of stuff, but I’d have to imagine that 12 devices in close proximity all using Bluetooth to upload things might not be the smoothest experience.
