Has anyone gotten Solidworks for free? Or know how to get it for free?
I use Solidworks at my school but I would be able to get a lot more done if I could use the program at my house on my personal laptop.

SolidWorks does provide copies of their software for educational purposes. The licenses will last for something like 150 days and your school should be able to get as many copies as desired if you contact them. This page should get you started.
My team took a tour of their HQ in mass and we got free copies (its wicked cool there)
I got our school the edu version. I believe there also is a trial version.
would you say that solid works is easier to do than inventor?
