Goal — 6 mototr 4 hole wide 3.25 drivetrain with raised, offset gears (blue motor:input 36t output 48t) 2 questions:

  1. the axle is too close to the gear so you actually can’t use regular spacers or even the thin ones. I’ve heard of people who pay for spacers that are shaved down super thin but like I don’t want to.
  2. can’t find any half width 36t soooo i’ve heard people get around this but idk how because the screw heads get in the way.
  3. I am also a new builder so any tips are appreciated
  1. the old LS 36 tooth gears fit in this gap perfectly
  2. 1/4 inch OD spacers are what your looking for, you can find them on mcmaster carr or a local hardware store (I found mine at a local ace hardware)
  3. if you put a 1/8th inch spacer between the 48t gear and the wheel, you should be able to use High strength 36t gears and just put a shaft collar on the outside of it
  4. you can make a small shaft collar with a ziptie and a rubber band on a axle (it has a very small chance of slipping)

Hope this helps
