Goal Covers Resurgence?

Will goal covers become prevalent again as was in tipping point? While primarily being used in getting the stake on Auton line would this be viable for for competitive Autons and certain strategies or would this be a waste.

Based on the current robots, my guess is that they will be more scarce this year.

Most top teams might take advantage of rubber, which increases friction when clamping onto the mobile goal, as shown in current robot examples.

I dont see goal rush being huge this uear because you can only posses 1 goal. I think wall stakes will be bigger and making sure u control whats in the double zones and negative zone. Also due to ecpansion limit long arms and covers wont be as prevalent

If you don’t mind me asking, what do you guys mean by goal covers.

Though this is from tipping point this is basically what a goal cover is. It slides or covers the top of the stake to prevent other teams from grabbing it. Hope that helps

In tipping point goal covers were sometimes used as a way of covering the goal. This would (ideally) keep other teams from being able to grab the mogo and steal it.
