Good team from VA??

That must be pretty difficult to analyze so much data. How have you gone about this process? Our team kinda just talks to people who are at comps because that’s about it as far as teams go.

I look at the results of previous competitions via Robotevents.com and then cross check the teams with teams registered for events I plan on attending. I also occasionally reach out in the forums via pm if I specifically find said teams.

Anyone have any new teams to keep an eye out for after yesterday’s comp @ Osborn park??

80708X. Their autonomous is insane and that is one of the best flywheels I’ve seen in years.

Yeah I saw their Auton. 13 points I think. Crazy. I saw them last year in MS division and they’ve only gotten better.

4303C, one of the forest park school teams seems really good. Fast and has an accurate flywheel. Their programmers and driver are beastly.

Thanks, that means a lot!

Yeah good to keep an eye out for them. Looks like they’ll have a good season.

Kicked butt yesterday and were classy at the same time. Great team.

Yah 4303c and 80807x didn’t miss an auton throughout the whole elimination tournament.

No engineer love :frowning:

And for the middle school side, it’s still 1231C, 1231D, and the 6751 A and B teams are pretty good too.

But I think the two 1231 teams are making a big claim this year to be a notch above the rest.

Has anyone seen any good autons? Curious as most of our comps consist of the same teams parking and nothing else.

80708X had a great 3 flag auto. 12A as well. 177V, a lot of top teams have good autons.

At the highest levels of VA competitions, we’ve seen 2 and 3 flag autons be the norm in eliminations. Plus parking, and usually a cap or two flipped.

So any updates on good Virginia teams with the last couple tournaments?

Looks like I’m the resident updater on VA performance.

56736C has one of the best double catapults I’ve seen all year, as well as one of the best drivers I’ve seen in the state.

154A has also been a very consistent robot in the past 2-3 tournaments.

The next big January event will be on 19th down in Richmond for HS.

Expecting to see a lot of 2nd and 3rd iterations of team’s robots from the early season

Yeah, they’ve really established themselves the last couple of tournaments!

Agreed! Both of these robots have proven to be very effective over the past couple weekends.

Also forgot to mention you guys as well, you guys have gotten progressively better throughout the season

Any other good teams to watch out for at states and what about middle school?
