Good vids of passive intakes?

I want to try my hand at passive intakes, can anyone link me some good ones? I’ve found 3 videos on 7700R but don’t know what other teams are known for having efficient passive intakes

Here’s a vid from 109A’s passive intake. It’s been on the forum for a while now. It’s fairly old but still somewhat provides some information on how it works.

Have they had any success with that intake? We are going to attempt a passive intake after the warrior invitational is over, because we’ll have some time then. We got some polycarbonate, but since 109A uses metal on theirs, we’ll try both.

I believe that clip was their intake and lift working without it being fully tuned, so in the case of the intake working well, it worked fine.

The video is outdated but I kept the same passive intake. The intake was made with aluminum as a frame with zipties arranged in a certain way so that the cone doesn’t slip out while the 4 bar is raising, but also that it can also easily release the cone.
We will prob release a video of V2 sometime this week.

I look forward to checking it out. winter break’s been kinda dull so far

Same, I wasn’t allowed to take the robot home so I have nothing to do :frowning:

Haha first world problems, my robot actually lives at my house.

Lucky. Ours is technically school property so that’s why I can’t. It would be nice to own all the parts myself. All I own is 6 35 hole Aluminum c-channels, polycarbonate, blue loctite, and white lithium grease, and 400 zipties. And that’s only because I got those for Christmas.

Nice you asked for robot parts. My team is private and my parent’s company is our main sponsor, so I guess VEX is my family’s business.

That’s pretty cool. Is your team a family team then? Or just a group of friends?

Both.
